All three venues use steam energy and have the heating and cooling set at low points of 68-72 degrees.
There are motion sensors in all elevators, restrooms, maintenance rooms and fire escapes. This allows in cost reduction because the lights in these rooms are not always on.
When it comes to waste reduction, it is hard to handle in the public sector because you can’t make every person recycle when using these venues. All paper products in every building are made from recycled products. This has been a problem for the venues but they have made it a goal of theirs to get better at recycling.
They participate in the focused energy grant from WE Energies allowing a 15% savings over all.
