The EcoJAM LitterSLAM will create a bond between the students and the community through the environment. There will be a clean up at 10:00am at both the Sandburg and Riverview Dorms (meeting place.. front lobby). Then we will all meet at the Riverview dorms(you can take the yellow bus by the library) at Noon for music and speakers and a mural painting.
We'd love to see you there. =)

The Great American Cleanup is a Nationwide Program that encourages you to get involved in your own community. Millions of volunteers clean and beautify their community as part of hte Great American Cleanup each spring.
The Great American Cleanup is the nation's largest organized annual cleanup, beautification, and community improvement program. Last year, more than 45,000 volunteers participated in the Great American Cleanup in the Milwaukee area alone.
The GAC begins on March 1st and runs until May 31st. Keep Greater Milwaukee Beautiful will host this year's cleanup program in Milwaukee, Waukesha, Ozaukee and Washington counties. You can join an existinc cleanup or organize your own. The official Community Cleanup Day is April 19th, 2008 from 9am-12pm at Lincoln Park (1301 W. Hampton Ave., Milwaukee).

The Milwaukee River Workgroup is a coalition of organizations advocating for the creation of a Central Park along the Milwaukee River.
Meetings are on the second Wednesday of every month from 3:00-4:30 and the fourth Wednesday of every month from 5:30-7:00 at the Urban Ecology Center.
