Sierra Club: Four Lakes Group
The Sierra Club is an international environmental group based in San Francisco, CA. The Four Lakes Group is the local chapter for the citizens of Dane, Sauk, Columbia, Juneau, Adams, Richland, Iowa, Grant, Rock, Green, Crawford, Jefferson and Lafayette counties and the city of Whitewater in Walworth County. The group has an active conservation agenda that focuses on water quality, recycling, sprawl reduction, transportation and smart growth. The club is active in local elections and finding quality leaders committed to environmental conservation. Sustain Dane
This group is dedicated to creating sustainable communities in the Madison area. It is a non-profit organization that depends heavily on volunteers for their many projects and events, including the Rain Barrel Project that aims to clean up Dane county's waterways.
