This organization promotes hunting rights and conservation around the world. Their goal is to promote a positive image of hunters through outreach programs and wildlife conservation. They have members in over 100 countries, but the most support comes from members in the United States. The membership fee is $55 for a year, or 3-year and lifetime memberships are available. The Safari Club recognizes two Members of Congress every year at their annual convention. This year Rep. Putnam (R-FL) and Rep. Thompson (D-CA) were honored.

The Prairie Enthusiasts
This group's goal is to protect and preserve the endangered prairies in the Midwest. Educational events, inventory and protection, and management and restoration are the main areas of focus. River Alliance of Wisconsin
The River Alliance is an organization that advocates for the protection, enhancement, and restoration of Wisconsin's rivers and watersheds. It fulfills its mission through on-the-ground projects, advocating certain water protection policies, educating citizens about Wisconsin's northern rivers, and supporting local river and watershed protection groups. The WAEE is a non-profit organization composed of teachers, youth leaders, professionals, and naturalist dedicated to educating of all people about the natural environment. Located at UW Stevens Point, the organization sponsors numerous conferences and workshops across the state to promote networking opportunities and professional growth. The Sierra Club is an international environmental group based in San Francisco, CA. Bayfield Regional Conservancy
The Bayfield Regional Conservancy permanently protects natural areas, forests and farms, wild and scenic areas in the northwoods of Wisconsin. The Bayfield Regional Conservancy is a locally-based, non-profit land trust that works in Bayfield, Ashland, Sawyer and Douglas Counties. Northwoods is a tax exempt conservation organization headquarted in Eagle River. Door County Land Trust
This is a private, non-profit organization that is dedicated to protecting the lands that add to the scenic beauty, open space, and ecological integrity of Door County. The organization protects lands by working with private landowners who donate some or all of their development rights through a conservation easement agreement, by accepting donations of land, and by selectively purchasing properties. The Door County Land Trust gets 100% of its funding via membership fees and donations. There are many different one-year membership levels available, starting at $35 and going over $5000. Formerly known as the Lauderdale Lakes Conservancy, this land trust has expanded to preserve the Kettle Moraine Lakes area. The land trust's ongoing mission is to bring Island Woods to its natural, pre-settlement state. This organization is a trust that protects recreational trails and open land in the Caledonia area, just south of Milwaukee.
