Bayfield Regional Conservancy
The Bayfield Regional Conservancy permanently protects natural areas, forests and farms, wild and scenic areas in the northwoods of Wisconsin. The Bayfield Regional Conservancy is a locally-based, non-profit land trust that works in Bayfield, Ashland, Sawyer and Douglas Counties. Caledonia Conservancy
This organization is a trust that protects recreational trails and open land in the Caledonia area, just south of Milwaukee. There is no specific membership fee, but donations are accepted and fundraising is a big part of this organization. It is run by a board of directors and several committees. The group is currently working with land owners and developers in an effort to conserve and expand the trails that used to be the traditional path from Milwaukee to Chicago. Cedar Lakes Conservation Foundation
The CLCF is dedicated to protecting wetlands and woodlands in Washington County. There are many sponsored events such as the Snowshoe Shuffle, Adopt-a-Tree, and annual meetings. Chiwaukee Prairie Preservation Fund
Located in Kenosha County this Fund seeks to preserve the Chiwaukee Prairie which is home to dozens of rare Wisconsin plant species and promote conservation education. Guided tours are avaliable. Membership requires a ten dollar annual donation.

Door County Land Trust
This is a private, non-profit organization that is dedicated to protecting the lands that add to the scenic beauty, open space, and ecological integrity of Door County. The organization protects lands by working with private landowners who donate some or all of their development rights through a conservation easement agreement, by accepting donations of land, and by selectively purchasing properties. The Door County Land Trust gets 100% of its funding via membership fees and donations. There are many different one-year membership levels available, starting at $35 and going over $5000. The Northeastern Wisconsin Land Trust was founded in 1996 in order to protect the quality of life in the land that has created Wisconsin's heritage. River Alliance of Wisconsin
The River Alliance is an organization that advocates for the protection, enhancement, and restoration of Wisconsin's rivers and watersheds. It fulfills its mission through on-the-ground projects, advocating certain water protection policies, educating citizens about Wisconsin's northern rivers, and supporting local river and watershed protection groups. Safari Club International
This organization promotes hunting rights and conservation around the world. Their goal is to promote a positive image of hunters through outreach programs and wildlife conservation. They have members in over 100 countries, but the most support comes from members in the United States. The membership fee is $55 for a year, or 3-year and lifetime memberships are available. The Safari Club recognizes two Members of Congress every year at their annual convention. This year Rep. Putnam (R-FL) and Rep. Thompson (D-CA) were honored.

Sierra Club
The Sierra Club is America's oldest, largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization. Its mission is to explore and protect the wild places of the earth, to practice and promote responsible uses of resources, and to educate individuals to protect the environment. There are more than 1.3 million members involved with the Sierra Club. Although it is a national organization, the Sierra Club has many different chapters within Wisconsin and the other states. Be sure to check out the Wisconsin page for more information about events in your area. Along with living its mission, the Sierra Club is also known for endorsing congressional candidates during election time. For the 2008 election, the Club has endorsed five different congressional members/candidates: Tammy Baldwin, Ron Kind, Gwen Moore, David Obey, and Steve Kagen.

The Sierra Club is an international environmental group based in San Francisco, CA. This group has a dual mission to engage in conservation education and to advocate for sound conservation policy. It puts its main focus on protection of fish and wildlife as well as their habitats.
